Our beach area offers an instant holiday feeling. From May to mid-September, our beach area becomes a paradise for sun and water lovers. During this period, admission is charged, but our offer is substantial: swimming is permitted when the lifeguard is on duty and the green flag is flying.

Go for an adventure on the brand new hiking trail, which literally takes you across the water.

Looking for some action? Challenge your friends to a game of beach volleyball or let your kids have fun on the pirate playground.

Good news for nature lovers: outside the summer season (mid-September to April), the beach is accessible to everyone. Your four-legged friend can come with you, as long as you keep him on a lead and stay on the path.

A bite and a drink

Enjoy a refreshing drink, a tasty snack or just a moment of rest with our colleagues at het Zuiderbad. Ideal for ending your day or regaining your strength to get going again.

The Zuiderbad evolves with the seasons, from trendy summer bar to cosy winter lounge, you can enjoy it all year round.

A unique swimming experience

In our open-water pool, you experience the freedom and space of swimming in nature, combined with the safety and facilities of a swimming pool. It is the place where sport and relaxation come together!

Swimming in our open-water pool is not only good for your body, but also a feast for your senses.

Whether you are training for a triathlon, want to sharpen your open-water techniques, or just want to swim laps leisurely, our pool offers the perfect setting for every swimming enthusiast.

Come along and experience it for yourself: 100m or 50m laps can be swum. In addition to the swimming area, there is also an open water play area where you can enjoy a game of water polo or kayak polo.

Our open-water swimming area opens at the beginning of May (when the water temperature is at least 16°C), together with the beach area. From then on, you can go there until the end of the summer season in September.

From May to mid-September, you can come and enjoy a sunny day full of beach and water fun. It is best to buy your ticket in advance to avoid disappointment at the cash desk.

Do you live nearby? Then you are entitled to a discount:

Residents of Zemst get their discount (100%) by entering their national number under the box ‘Do you have a discount code?’. Attention: write down your national number as it appears on your identity card: ##.##.##-###.## (type exactly the dots and dashes).
Residents of Boortmeerbeek and Vilvoorde can get their 50% discount in the same way.
To enjoy these discounts, you must always book your reservation online.

You can enter the beach zone until 6.30pm, beach will be cleared at 7.15pm.

Refunding or exchanging tickets is unfortunately not possible.

The beach regulations

Come and enjoy our beach but please keep the following in mind:

Swimming is not allowed outside the supervised swimming zones or at a red flag.
The beach area is a no-smoking zone. Smoking is only allowed in the designated smoking area next to the first aid post.
Dogs or other pets are not allowed on the beach. During the low season (October-April) they are allowed on the promenade, but they must be on a leash.
Bicycles are not allowed inside the beach area during the high season.
Portable radios or other music devices cannot be turned on loudly on the beach, mind the other visitors.
Behave in such a way as to disturb other visitors.
Behaving in such a way that one's own safety or health or that of others is or may be compromised.
It is not allowed
- to barbecue or light fires.
- to bring and/or use water pipes.
- to bring spirits or their derivatives.
- to bring glass bottles and containers.
- to possess drugs, even less than three grams for personal use.
