Open water swimming

Training open water swimming

Swimming in open water is and remains a unique experience. We are therefore pleased that from now on it will be possible for open water swimmers to train in our aquatic track.

As soon as the water has reached the desired temperature (in May), we organize two open water training sessions every week in our center.

The training sessions always take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Buy your ticket in advance because this is the only way to be sure of your training opportunity.

Who can come and train?

To participate in swim training you must:

  • Wear wetsuit or swim boy
  • Be born in 2008 or earlier
  • Required to reserve in advance

Swimming in open water is not without risk. For example, you can't set foot anywhere. Make sure you can comfortably swim 800 m in a pool before participating in open water training.

Buy your ticket in advance

A swim workout costs €6,5 and is charged immediately upon your reservation. You can immediately book a place for several training sessions.

If you want to book more than one place as a club, please contact the person in charge. He or she must provide us with the correct list of names before the training starts.

For the purchase of a ticket there is no right of withdrawal. You cannot renounce your purchase. A ticket will not be refunded or exchanged.

If we have to cancel a training due to inclement weather or other force majeure, tickets will be refunded.

Training in a club setting

On Saturdays and Sundays you and your club can reserve a 1-hour slot for open water swimming training.

Your club provides two supervisors, at least one of whom is a senior lifeguard with the appropriate training.

Two rowing lanes (up to 500m) are then reserved for your club.

A weekend training costs €75 and can have a maximum of 40 participants.

Training as an elite athlete

Top athletes recognized by the federation can also organize training at other times. You must always request this training in advance and must be accompanied by a trainer/redress.
