Terms and Conditions
Mountainbike Rental Terms
Identification as deposit
When picking up the mountainbike(s), at least one form of identification (e.g., a driver’s license) must be left as a deposit.
Protective gear
Wearing a helmet is mandatory. If you don’t have your own helmet, one will be provided free of charge.
Maintenance and inspection
The renter must check the condition of the bike before departure, paying particular attention to basic functions such as brakes and gear systems.
Liability for damage
The renter is responsible for any damage that occurs during the rental period, except when it is due to normal wear and tear.
Traffic rules and behavior
You are in a nature area where other recreational users are also present, such as horseback riders, joggers, and cyclists. Show respect, adjust your speed in busy areas, and always stay on the designated mountainbike paths.
Returning the bike
The bike must be returned at the agreed time. Check in at the entrance of the sports center or call 089/86.91.30.
If you need to deviate from this, inform us in advance.
If the bike is returned on Sunday after 4:00 PM, contact the concierge upon arrival: 0477/20.87.32. Bikes not returned by 7:00 PM (or 4:00 PM on Sunday) will incur an additional charge of €10 per bike.
The renter must clean the bike before returning it. A garden hose and brushes are available at the garage gate of the pavilion (behind the cafeteria). The supervisor will inspect the bike upon return and then return the identification.
Extra charges may apply for bikes returned dirty or with damage not caused by normal wear and tear.
Insurance
Sport Vlaanderen does not provide insurance for personal injury or theft.
Theft prevention
Preferably, do not leave the bike unattended. If you do, use a secure lock.
